I'm tempted to go check this out myself
Edit - just noticed about the fuel rail leak. Bring a fire extinguisher.

Quite a few red-flags in the ad, but for $1k, seems like it may be worth looking at. I'm not a 944 guy, but it seems like there is enough there to part at a profit.
Ypu could make money parting it out but that's true for almost every car out there. A 944 can turn into a money pit quickly but if this is solid and you want one you could simply consider this a platform to learn on.
I'm not really in the market according to my wife 
. Something about running vs non running cars, blah blah blah...
Actually we are more in need of something utilitarian, but I was thinking if this isn't a total disaster and/or burn to the ground, it could make a decent challenge car.
I was afraid this was the Porsche that has gone from Columbus to Michigan and back 
I know nothing about 944s, but it looks like it's worth checking out.
