How does a noninterference engine get a bent valve? I think his finger slipped when he was typing the price. I'd give $800, maybe.

That's about what it would be worth with a blown motor if the Gen3 motor/trans swap was done in a committed fashion including wiring/electronics. This would drive nothing like a stock car.
If this were local and i didn't have a garage full of broken cars already, i'd be making an offer on this if truly rust free. Gen3 motors are cheap these days, i wouldn't even bother troubleshooting current motor while it's in the car. Figure another $2k or less invested would give you a 300awhp hoonmobile.

This. I'd be all over it as well. The one I owned for a weekend was awesome, aside from the E36 M3ty 1st gen 3S stuff.
