Like cones, I don't get all that excited by most cars built before 1955...cars like the 1940 Ford / Mercury being exceptions.
When I was a kid (in the '60s) my uncle took me to see a neighbors car (my uncle had a Model A), the car being a Packard 120 sedan like the one pictured. It was painted a medium green with either a light green top or a cream top (just can't remember). These are / were okay cars, and certainly better than most of what was available....but they don't really excite me. Worse, was the succeeding model which looked like a "bathtub" Nash from the windshield back. Neighbors had a baby blue early '50s Packhard sedan and I always wondered how you could ever safely back one of those boats out of your driveway.
