Since I have more projects than time, I need to thin the herd:

1987 Jeep Comanche, 2WD, 2.5L 4-cylinder, manual trans. 2.5 needs a cam. Body isn't perfect, but it isn't a rot box either.

Includes '96 Cherokee Sport parts car. No engine/trans/transfer case in the Cherokee. Floors are rotted out on the Cherokee. Has bucket seats, console, and vented quarter windows. Has Dana 35 front axle, and rebuilt 8 1/4 Chrysler rear with new limited slip. Both have 3.07 gears. All will bolt up in the Comanche.

Cherokee has the better brakes for swapping onto the Comanche. Also have a set of 3.55's for the front axle that can go with it.

Asking $800 for the pair. Both are in South-East PA.

Do you have any more pictures of the Comanche? Any rust on the bedsides or cab floor?

Battery is dead in the Comanche so I couldn't move it to get a better shot. I'll see if I can jump it tonight and move it back some.

Bedsides have some blistering, but nothing through. I haven't looked at the cab floor in a while, but I'll take a look tonight.

So the Comanche runs and drives? What’s the story with it needing a cam? Also if you guys are getting that winter storm down there that’s heading our way next feel free to wait till after it passes to take pictures.

I just had a kid from the Atlantic City area drive out and buy both. He's coming back on Saturday to tow them home. His plan is to fix the Comanche and put it back on the road.

I knew Jeep guys were pretty rabid (in a good way), but this is the fastest I've ever sold anything.

Sorry the kid got here with the cash in hand before I even got to take any pics. Apparently he's been looking for a good Comanche for a while, and has a good engine for it at home.

The Comanche ran and drove "when parked." The cam ate a lobe on one of the cylinders while it was still my buddy's daily driver. I think it was cyl #2. Can't remember now. But was still moving under its own power with the remaining 3 cylinders when it was parked.

D35 front? Is you sure? I didn't think anything but the D30 came in the front of the XJ's.

In reply to DrBoost:

I think you are right. I'll take a look before it leaves. I'm rusty on my Jeeps (but not as rusty as those XJ floors!).

In reply to PseudoSport:

Thanks! I've had more people calling today. As far north as NY, and State College to the west. Crazy. Didn't know the demand was that high for them.

I thought I had it priced well to move, but didn't expect it to go that fast. But as one buddy said last night, "if you put it out there for $1 more nobody would have called."

Correct. It was a D30 up front. It's at its new home now.
