NMNA

Looks like a lot of cool cars in that lot, I'd like to go just check out what they have.

Is that an MGA with a hard top? I also see an FJ40. Cool.

It think it is a Jag. I originally though MGA but if you look at it in the interior picture of the Jeep the side profile is wrong.

There are a few Commandos for sale in my area, they've always scared and intrigued me in equal measure.

If done right, they are very tasty!! Also being old, you can stuff whatever powertrain you want into them.

I know you can swap a CJ5 nose onto the early style. It would probably work on this one too.

Years ago in a Fairbanks, Alaska junkyard, I ran across a Jeepster convertible that looked lowered a little, had wide slotted dish mags and a continental kit on it. Also had a V6 engine, center console with A/T shifter. Couldn't justify dragging it out. Also wanted the Jeep wagon next to it. Flathead 4, dual range transfer case and very basic seats. All original. Again I was leaving Alaska shortly after finding it and couldn't take them with me.

Didn't the Commandos come in a 2wd version as well? Or was that the Jeepster?

Either way I have always liked the Commandos. I missed a really clean one for sale here a few years back and still wonder "what if?" It was a maroon color with a black top, and awesome.

I like the red one, but the cj5 swap yellow one looks like a bad chinese knockoff of a CJ or some kind of crappy fiberglass kit vehicle.

These show up a couple times a year locally, but not in that good of condition. I also know of at least a couple abandoned in fields around here.
