i'd go 12v 5.9 Cummins in it as well, but I don't associate Cummins with Fiat/Dodge/Ram. Some hand painted pinstriping via brush on that patina as well would be fantastic
Medium duty trucks from Ford were specked with a 5.9 cummins I think that is the route I would go also.

They weren't spec'd so to say, it was an option, along with a ford offering, a caterpiller offering, and in the olden days, detroits.
Also, I dig it....it needs a 6-71T in it though, screw the pedestrian Cummins engine.
