A Diesel driveline from a medium duty truck would be a better choice for towing. That truck looks like it might be on the heavy side.

Man...all I would want to do is go through and sort out all of the running gear and just enjoy it. Cool rig.

I don't think i'd restore it other than make the inside not smell and make it run and drive good. That patina is legendary.

Diesel powerplant, modernize interior, leave exterior exactly how it is.
