I did not understand the excitement about those when they were new. I shurly don't understand it now when they have almost no chance of keeping them running. I must be missing some GRM gene.
The Italian in me always wanted one of these, but the American in me knows that it will just leave me stranded, catch fire, or both.
When these were launched in the US the US 'headquarters' for Maserati was in a small car dealership building on the south side of Baltimore - I think that sums up the state of Maserati at the time...

Biturbos are front engine rear drive. In theory there should be nearly endless engine swap possibilities, no Fiero transmission needed.
