Picked up the truck tonight with much help from TR8Todd. Truck is rough around the edges, and is missing lots of parts, so I am not sure what to do with it. But at the price I got it for it was a no-brainer.

Pick up a Chevy truck and swap in the driveline. Another no brainer. Want it to still sound like a repu? Slap a turbo on the 4.8 and install a totally ineffective muffler system.

Did you know this was rotary powered?
1.3L 13b!

Picked up a rust free AZ hood that happens to be the same or close enough red, as well as a straight bumper, valence, air diffuser, and three piece grille today for the truck. Now I need to figure out if some of these parts are going on my green truck, what to use for a driveline, and the hole in the roof still. Best part of the deal tonight is the seller delivered them to me. Well about an hour from me, but I saved a ton on shipping especially on a large item like a hood.
Pointless bit of trivia, I actually own an engine from one of these... the porting is WAY more torque biased than any other rotary I've ever run across. Made for serious fun with 48IDA carbs in an FB
The bus used a crazy hybrid transmission, a manual with a torque converter in-line with the clutch.

Years back I bought an '83 FB that had been a track rat most of its life... among (many) other modifications the original owner (I was the third total) had replaced the 12a with this particular 4-port 13b. I have the paperwork for the engine swap labor circa 1987-88 but unfortunately don't know exactly how he got it into the states
Anyway, I eventually sold the chassis, but the motor (currently disassembled) still resides in my garage!
