There have been some sweet turbodiesel Benzes posted lately. Here's an example with potential: 87 190d with the 2.5 turbo 6-cyl and a manual trans. NMNA
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/4368661901.html
Only year imported to U.S. Only 1169 imported. 2.5 turbo diesel, runs strong, 5 speed manual transmission, even rare on 190e models. No mechanical issues. Listed elsewhere. Don't have space for it in driveway anymore. Needs some interior work,( but I don't have the time)but extremely reliable. Clean title, no emissions needed!
The bad; needs tires, windows work intermittently, blower motor also works intermittently, interior a little rough.
The good; cranks, runs, shifts, and stops very well. A/C complete. Sunroof works. Very reliable and great gas mileage.

I didn't know the 190 had the intake vents on the front fender. I just LOVE that look!

^Just the diesels.
It's going to be pretty difficult to find a replacement for that damaged fender.
That's actually a 5cyl., not a 6. Very cool car, though.
That is definitely a unicorn. It looks to me like that dent could just pop out and you could save that fender. I love the chrome wheel and chrome arch in front with the plain wheel and arch in back. Good old Atlanta.

I didn't think the 190's had them diesel or not. I was obviously wrong though. This is making me want to shop for another diesel benz....

Pretty sure only the the 2.5L turbo diesel 190Ds had the fender vents making them even more unobtanium.
If it needs suspension work, go ahead and shoot yourself in the face.
Spoiler: They all need suspension work.
