Mazda GD Chassis build quality shines.
you aren't kidding unicorn, I saw one in Harpers Ferry about 2 months ago, the owner laughed when I asked if he would consider selling it for the right price.
That's literally 10 minutes from where I'm sitting, right now. Since I wouldn't be able to pull it off the road for our horrible winters, it would be wrong for me to buy this, right?
If you buy it, you can do with it what you want.
I've had people get mad at me for what i've done to my red car, but it's my car, and i don't give two E36 M3s what they think.
These cars aren't particularly rust-prone, per se... they will rust, and in interesting places, but as long as you take it through a car wash once a week or something and get the underbody sprayed, it's unlikely to turn into a flintstone-mobile for quite some time.
Here's an 88 MX6 GT with 78k miles on it.

For the crack price of $6200.
It's a few years too early for prices like that, in my opinion.
I am highly confused by the airbag steering wheel.

Remember how i told you 2nd gen MX6 wheels fit?
This guy apparently thought that the ugliest of all 2nd gen wheels looked nice. Or something.
In case someone on the board buys this, I would like to mention that I have a set of NOS/NIB wheels for it, with center caps and valve stems, which I would sell for a reasonable price.

Goddammit, that right there would fit nice in my Unicron collection. However- I suspect I don't have the funds. Or the patience.of the wife.
I don't want to rebuild your car, but I would make expection for that.

Leather?? Not seen that before.
They might actually be mx6 leather seats but that doesnt explain the door panels. Wouldn't be ssurprised if this was oem.
I have lusted after one of these for many years. I would love a white one with the blue cloth interior!! This one is tempting though. Not a fan of the leather, and have never seen it on one of these cars before.

I get what you're saying, but I still remember a friend of mine from high school who bought a very nice 66 or 67 289 Mustang and drove it through the winter ONE YEAR and it was a rust bucket by spring. I still occasionally want to kidney punch him over that. While I'm generally in line with "if you buy it, its yours", I also think it kind of sucks to have something survive 20 or 30 years and get destroyed in a few months because it isn't parked.
My supervisor at the company I used to work for had one of those, but it was AT. Not sure if it had leather, but I think it did.
Here's 2 more F2t machines to keep the thread going. NMNA.
1) MX6 4ws? Philly CL
2) Not challenge priced MX6 Philly CL

ScreaminE has a white MX6 with blue cloth interior in unbelievable shape. You should buy it.
And yes 4WS was a thing on both MX6s and 626s. I don't know that i'd buy one these days. Parts are really hard to find.
I wonder what it would be like to daily drive one of these. It looks like they can be picked up cheap and they seem somewhat reliable.

I'm looking down the road after I retire my current DD. I think I want something "interesting" to drive, but it has to be reliable. I have always liked the MX6's and I also like the 626 GT. I really don't want another car payment.

They're cheap reliable fun, super comfy, and get good gas mileage. They tend to feel newer than they are. By that i mean it doesn't feel like you're driving an 80s crapbox.
I daily drove mine for almost 5 years in highly modified form and it never really complained. It's still the cheapest car in my fleet to run.
