My glorious girlfriend of 9 years has not yet attempted to kill me, so it's about time.
I have already planned how I am going to ask, and trust me, it's cute.
Items at this link are for sale. Make offers.
Books and etc.
I recently got a signed copy of The Unfair Advantage, so I can "afford" to get rid of my unsigned hardcover first edition. It's in excellent condition, but the dustjacket has seen better days.
The MB5 is "for sale". I don't really want to get rid of it, but I hardly use it anymore...
How much for the "Unfair Advantage"? I already own a first-edition hardcover, but "donated" it to my engine builder, and really don't expect to ever see it again.
They are ranging 50 to 250 on Amazon. I got a decent deal on it, and the dust jacket isn't great, so 65 bucks plus shipping?

You still planning on making the festivies in C-Bus on Saturday? If so, I'll have cash in-hand. If not, I will PM you.
What are the gran prix items? Hard to tell. Are they canvas prints? Interested in those.

Yeah, they are small canvas prints, perhaps 19" by 12"? I can measure them when I get home.
Its about time Brad. Lol

Yeah, I'll load them in the Mazda tonight. Cash talks gentlemen, and bull E36 M3 walks.

Interested. Please let me know on size and pricing. :)
According to the tag on the back, they are 10 X 16. I guess I am bad at guessing sizes.
Congrats to you, condolences to her, etc.
Seriously, good for you. Only advice I have on shiny things is to buy the diamond at a big jewelry show (they're all over the place this time of year) and get the setting she wants separately at the jeweler. Saved ~2k on the rock that way.

Saving $2K would net me a $-1k Diamond...If you can find me one of those, I would be eternally grateful!

Well, now you can get a $3k diamond for only $1k!
Alternate idea: purchase a gun in a paper bag for $50 and go get you a $20k diamond. Bam - problem solved.
Thanks for the books Brad, good luck man

No, thank YOU! Thanks to everyone who made a contribution so far! Wifey has no idea about the cash, and she is my "accountant", so I can't put it in our bank account...I'll be found out!
I would recommend that financial strategy in the future, as well!!!
But seriously, thanx for the reading material, and all the best to both of you!!!
Will
tell me more about this MB5. What price do you have in mind?
Right before you pop the question, watch Blood Diamond with her. Problem solved. Put the cash toward your honeymoon.

How much for Gurney's Eagles?
And... any chance you have a DVD copy of LeMans you'd be willing to part with? I've been meaning to buy one of those.
