New Miata hardtop

I have a brand new hard top for sale. It was ordered from the dealership in 1990 a couple weeks after the car was purchased and arrived in a crate. It was removed from the the crate for the first time 2 weeks ago. It has never been installed on a car and is absolutely perfect, including all seals and trim. Includes all factory mounting hardway and also OEM pre-cut side panels (still in the original bags with part numbers) for the side latches. Located in Waynesboro, VA

Dang, thats almost well used pricing.

Damn... tempted to buy just in case I ever buy a Miata.

It was going to go on my race car, but it is way to nice for that. I figured if it doesn't sell I would box it up and stick it in storage for 20 years or so and see what an unused top would be worth to someone restoring a Miata.

Silly question: is the color black or primer?

Post it in the collector forum of Miata.net. Those guys are a little crazy for stuff like this, although they'll be disappointed that you took it out of the crate

Some of the very earliest hardtops only came in black, although that persisted longer in the UK than it did in the US. Black wasn't a Miata color until 1992 or so.

It wasn't me who did it.... I wish it was still in the crate, it would be safety stored for another 20 years until it's time for the the concourse Miata restoration
