Because you live in Maryland? I'm always surprised that there are any of this type of vehicle left, they are long gone from our area
Rust really depends upon where in Maryland. Western and eastern Maryland is worse than central Maryland. On this truck, the wet northwest and semi gloss paint are giving me concerns. Well, that and Japanese cars are made from recycled metal and had rust in them from the first day.

The rust really isn't bad out here at all. Mold.. Cars mold/moss over more than rust. Plenty of old toyotas around here with very little rust. There is very little snow around here and very little salt usage.

Agreed, I am actually surprised when I see any Datsun other than a Z project around here.
