Yes, another horrible, two-tone, earth-tone Ford that nobody should want. The saved CL search that gives me this stuff will eventually cause me to do something horrible, but for now I foist them off on you guys. Weirdly, some people seem to be enjoying this...

Not much info in the ad:

3.3 straight six c4 automatic cd player good tires good brakes no deq in Washington very easy to maintain and it is getting to be a collectors car.
I used to have a 78. I would love to have another.
It just had to be on the other side of the known world.
My parents had a '79 Zepher with the V8....not that bad of a car. But the little 6 cylinder with what I believe is a C 3 transmission, not a C 4 ? No thank you. Heck, even if the paint job was one color (yellow / creme?) or the other (BRIGHT gold) but not 2.
I wonder if the bumper-less Fairmont "coupe" in front of this car is for sale? Oh well, too far away, even if it is.

Mine was an '80 Futura.... 2.3/4spd.
I spotted a nice looking 85 in dark blue in NH a few weeks ago. I got some pictures of it if anyone is interested. Surprisingly pretty rust free.
I'm lovin' the paint job. With a nice quiet exhaust and the right wheels and/or covers that thing would make a hell of a sleeper.

When my wife and I were dating, she didn't have a car. I found a 78 with the 200 that was owned by the sales person from the local cemetery, and it had the dirtiest, filthiest interior you've ever seen. It was a base model, white with pie tin caps, and a dent in just about every panel. It was 4 yras old, with pretty low mileage, and only $500, so I bought it for her.
When the future Mrs Woof saw it, she said, WTF happened to that cop car, and why did you buy it for me? She wasn't impressed, but my buddy and I scrubbed the interior, did the body, with two-tone blue paint job, some nice wire wheel hub caps, and white wall tires, and she was in love with it. I don't like Fords, but it was actually a very good car.
Is that too nice to serve as the basis for a crapcan racecar? Smallblock Fords and Mustang suspension goodies aren't very expensive, are they?
Oh no...it is even local!
It's a 4dr sedan. It's not too nice to take to the wreckers.
