That says it all. If you can see smoke out of the exhaust, that engine is burning so much oil that you can't pass a week without adding oil. It will keep running just fine like that (except killing the cats), but the engine is on the way out.

That could be a fun challenge car with a VQ35. Once lowered (to make up for the crappy suspension geometry), these are surprizingly fast.

Its probably "Burning a little oil" due to ingesting some parts of its catalyst......so no need to worry about it ruining the catalyst
