Vintage Jap bikes took a big value hit with the last hit to the economy.
Until the cool factor for European and American bikes fades they will not carry much value.
My good friend has a number of them and parts.

I would call that price optimistic, but not crazy. If it were warmer weather, I think that he would have a good chance of getting that asking price.
Having owned both, the RD400 was a less peaky than the 350, but still very quick. I won a lot of money street racing unsuspecting Vettes and muscle cars. Hard to beat in the 1/8th mile. Price would be fair if it was in top mechanical and cosmetic condition. A lot of smiles for 2k.
