Well done!

Got a ride in one from a Jesus freak when hitchhiking in England. It didn't tip over once. Found God. True story.

For $1k I think you might be able to crate a running driving one from the UK.

I'm a Brit, trust me. Top Gear was kind to them. There us only one useful thing about them and that's they used to use the engine for Formula 750 racing. The 'car' itself has nothing redeeming about it.

It's at a little shop right off the highway, between Lincoln and the Woodstock Inn.

Welch's Auto Repair, if we're thinking of the same place. They had a row of Crosleys and original Minis out front when I last drove by a few years ago.

I would call that extensive fiberglass damage, but that's just me. For the first time in a long long time I think his already low asking price is way too high.

on second thought, if I can get someone (or a few) to team up with me, I will absolutely bring this to the challenge.

Plans:

  • drive car backwards, AWD. This would also fix that silly RHD problem.
  • get cheap honda engine, trans and steering for back (would now be front) wheels.
  • get cheap motorcycle engine, trans, swing arm and wheel to drive the front (would now be back) wheel.
  • All wheel steer?

These things weigh less than 1000lbs according to wikipedia. I am in the chicago southern suburbs, and I am very serious about this. Let me know.

Jay Lamm can be easily swayed by the right people and bad ideas with a proper plan behind them.

A reliant robin fashioned after Batman's tumbler? The puns would be too thick to ignore. (As long as you painted it red and green).
