Too bad these are so ugly to me. I saw (somewhere) one with the 250 six and a four-speed. I don't think I've ever seen a four-speed in one of these and (almost) made me want it for the cool/usual-ness.
it's basically a 1967/8 mustang 4 door same unibody and suspension but with better brakes (not by much)
to me it's a shame it's not a wagon
If it cam stock with a manual then I would bet it's a srod, it he did a conversion then who knows. My dad owned a '78 Mercury version of this car with the 302 but of course it had an automatic. It was a good car, nothing went wrong, and it got good mpg on the highway.

Once upon a time, I owned a 250 cu.in. Granada with a 3 speed console shift.
Brings back memories of my second car:
Beat-to-death 302 and automatic. Dog slow. As in, would lose speed climbing anything more than a moderate hill at full throttle slow. It was a pretty terrible car, but it got me back and forth to high school during the winter of 86-87, and it was only $500.
Not Mine.
Priced to Sell. 1977 Ford Granada 2 door 60,250 original miles. 240 CID 6-cyl w/ 4 speed std trans, a/c, crank windows, vinyl seats. Drives good, needs good cleaning and attention, right frt brake caliper seems locked. New carb recently installed, Needs good tune up & minor body work/new vinyl top, body and top and interior are lite yellow. Priced to sell $1,575. Robbinsville, NC - SW of Knoxville, Tn. Call Dick please NO TEXT. 352-345-zero seven three two. More info- Since it was new, I'm 2nd owner, my mother bought it new. The car has never been in an accident or had any physical damage to it. It has never had any major mechanical work done to the car except brakes, tune ups, oil changes and regular maintenance. Did run, drive and steer OK, now right frt brake caliper seems locked, and it seems to me to need a tune up or carb adjustment & battery. Right now it is parked out side my home here in Robbinsville, NC. I have own it free and clear for several years, have a Florida Title in my name. No loans or leins. I have the title here in my hands ready to give to the Buyer. Florida sun caused the vinyl roof to crack and peel, so there is rust on the roof, and it needs a new vinyl top. The mileage is accurate and indicated on the odometer as 60,3xx miles. I would like to see someone buy it and do the things it needs to restore it as a classic car.

My grandparents bought a new fire engine red 2 door, I think a '76 maybe. They had this after they sold their fire engine red early 70's Courier.
Sorry not much to offer in this thread, except personal nostalgia. Even if it involves a Granada lol.
