I REALLY wish I had an SVX motor laying around. 
I've wanted to build an SVX powered XT6 since my first year at the Challenge.

How's the interior?
Part time 4WD, or full time AWD? 4WD push button on shifter?
Is the pneumatic suspension salvageable?
Any rust?
DL, GL, or GL10?
Push button 4wd,No its not salvageable.Theres a little rust on both sides of the trunk,very bottom.Its really easy to change to the springs because the air ride was not its strong suit.

What flavor of smelly are we discussing?
If I do this, I'll be building a track monster, but I want a restorable dash, gauges, and front seats, with all the glorious 80's starship quirkiness.
The dash is there.The controles on both sides of the wheel need a little work but there.
The smell is just a musty car smell
