exactly! I cant tell you how long ive wanted one of these, especially with a TRD 2000 GT kit on it!
well, i texted him and got these pics:
Almost seems scam-ish. If not, at $1400, that would be a steal. Get it running and you'd have an instant competitive Challenge car.

Did anyone buy it yet? If not I'll probably be headed down to Atlanta with a trailer lolz
DO EET. I want to live vicariously through you.
Sorry, it's ugly. And REEKS of scam. I haven't looked yet, but how much is a Honda Rucus?
In reply to triumph5:
anywhere from $1000 to $3000
Just looked it up on Honda's site, starting at $2500.
Ao he's starting at $1400 when he'll need at least a grand more to get a scooter. OK, used depreciation and all that, but, still....
If you get a DUI conviction,... with that 49cc engine you don't need a license or insurance anymore, while you're living in Mom's basement. Cheap shot on the last part
It's still ugly.
I don't think this sounds too crazy, it doesn't run. To someone who thinks pulling a motor out of a car is akin to landing on the moon this car might as well be crushed up in a ball.
Super ugly body kit...did they try to make it look like the last gen Eclipse?...another ugly car...
I want to see this at the Challenge!

The TRD2000GT kit is not ugly, really... Google it up, there's much better examples out there.
I'm reasonably sure i know what the problem is. He says the car runs, but shuts off after a short time.
Here's a better example of the kit:

Yep, still ugly.
I agree it's not the most graceful thing in the world.
But that said, the kit is the same thing used on the TRD 2000GT that they actually raced with. I think it's pretty cool that they made the kit available to the public, and it IS functional. You can fit a TON of tire under one, and it's been through a windtunnel.
I will honestly admit that i wouldn't get the kit for the looks, though, i just don't think it's flat out HIDEOUS.

Knowing the back story behind a car, item, part, whatever, makes one understand why there is/can be passion about said item.
That's what your explanation just provided.

Glad i can be of service.
The TRD 3000GT was a MKiv Supra, and you can also still get those kits as well.
These kits are almost $3000 not because they look cool, but because there's actually some SERIOUS R&D behind them.
But because of that, that SW20 is a steal even if the motor happened to be completely trashed, which it isn't. (Hint: AFM is likely shot, good chance of internal wiring issue.)
Most of the JGTC Supras used the TRD kit.
Here's some pics of said TRD3000GT kit:
Bunch more pictures.

Wow... that does look pretty hideous. Clean and rust free, but that color scheme and that wheel fitment are pretty terrible.
It's got potential, though. I'd satin black it, fix the electrical issue, throw some huge wheel/tires on it, big wing, and go racing.
So far away.....I got the cash, but no way to get it to MA.
