There is a large group of them at Carlisle every year. I still reallllllly want a DS, so I've been trying to pay more attention to questions like yours.

One of my goals in life is to own at least one Citroen, preferably a DS.
I feel certain that I could find Bigfoot easier than parts for that car!

You and me both, brother. I'd love a DS.
They're getting pretty rare in France, too. I used to have an older model CX a about 15-odd years ago and they're superb long-distance cruisers and handle better than anything this floaty has a right to. They're also very quiet for something designed in the late 60s/early 70s.
The tires are going to cost a fortune and the hydraulics probably want new spheres. Unfortunately they also rust, though not as bad as the early CXs.
Um...in that bottom picture....it looks like someone trying to claw their way out of the back seat!

I know where there is a DS for sale (a DS Break and a Nash Metro in this picture), I have no idea how much the guy would sell it for, though. I have an interior shot too.

Ask and post to us what he's asking. Like many, I'd also like to own one.

In reply to foxtrapper:
I haven't been out there in over a year, he's about 2 hours from where I live now. If any one is genuinely interested, PM me and I'll send you his contact info. I'll warn you though, the guy is really, really proud of his stuff. He's kind of a looney good ole boy. He also has 26 (I counted) SAAB Sonetts and told me I could have this one for $6500
He "rationalised" his asking price by saying the windscreen is worth $3000, yeah, right.

If he was asking $6500 for the Saab I don't even want to know what he wants for the DS.
Here is one for $1000:

lol @ the price of that SIII. The DS is probably $45k.
I'd sell my Sonett for the low low price of $5500!
Okay, not really. Its worth MAYBE 1/6 of that. Good parts car, which it'll probably end up being for me.
i think to answer the original question (at least as far as reuseable parts) you are looking at them. A better one (that runs) doesnt cost all that much. I wouldnt mind having a citroen someday either, I think the sm is cool, but even thinking about working on one makes my head hurt. A cx seems more reasonable.
Here is a running diesel cx on e-bay
