WTB - 02-05 Subaru Impreza Rolling Shell

Do you know of a Subaru with a blown motor? I am looking for an 02-07 Impreza chassis to swap my 02 WRX drivetrain into.

Preference would go in this order:

• 9-2X Saab
• WRX Wagon
• WRX Sedan
• RS Wagon
• RS Sedan
• 03-05 Forester
• Others?

Looking for as rust free as possible, but hey not looking for perfect. Subaru's in Canada, they all have some rust.

I am looking for something affordable. Not in a rush - work planned for next spring/summer but I thought I would start looking now.

I would prefer something in Canada or close to the border to reduce the cost of getting it.

What about Saabaru? This one is not Canadian, but the price is right. These pop up occasionally and don't have quite as many buzzards as the WRX wrecks.

Good point - I have been looking at them on-line but forgot to include them in my post. Quite a few of them were pretty loaded up (leather etc.). Edited ad

Glad I am not the only one that has trouble understanding this.

The other downside is that it has an STi VIN and I am not sure if the insurance company would place an additional premium on it over the regular WRX or not.

2007, 244K kms, bad rod knock.

I put 2 1/2 L of oil in it and it just touched the bottom of the stick.
