Ok, have you narrowed it down to a motorcycle then?
Mostly have it narrowed down to a motorcycle. I have a backup car for the trip if things fall through.
But i think two up on a bike would be more fun

You are wrong, but I respect your decision to be wrong :) You'll be on the road all day, every day, communication will suck or you will invest in $$ communication gear. If it rains...more suck. I like to ride, and as a solitary function I'll happily get on a bike and go cross country. But as a joint endeavor shared with someone else the "sharing" is limited on a bike.
I'm going to be selling a 97 zx6 with spare wheels and motor. Both motors spun a bearing so you'll have to deal with that issue.

HAHAHA. There is truth in this! Trust me, the things you mentioned are always the first to come up. Have you been taking to my teammate?!

No, but honestly I know how isolated we felt as team members even in a convertible. We couldn't hear each other and when most of the even is about the drive you want to share and communicate with your teammates. Even moreso if you want to participate in the challenges and stuff.
