Well, my wife has made me buy a race car for our daughter, so it looks like we'll be racing mini stock on Saturday nights. I'm in need of a decent running Ford 2.3 and manual transmission. A 2000 Pinto motor would do, also. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

3 motors and a 5 speed tranny included, plus some other parts that should help as well (intake with carb adapter, header, extended lug studs).

Yep, I've been eyeballing that. That's a killer deal, and if it wouldn't cost me $57,000 in gas for my V-10 Excursion to come get it, I'd jump on it.
I have a 4 speed (Borg Warner SR4, sometimes called a RAD4) from a 1977 Mustang II that was attached to a 2.3 lima. I don't have the engine anymore but I'll sell the tranny for cheap. Of course it's in Wisconsin. (Tranny, shifter, bellhousing, throwout, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, output shaft, driveshaft)
Well, depending on how far you are from International Market World, it's only 541 miles from my house to there. I've got a customer across the street from there. Could always meet you somewhere in between

Would you be willing to sell a good 2.3 and the 5 speed seperate? And maybe the header too? Rules say I must run a carb.
I'd rather keep everything together if I can, the car is no good without the 5 speed. I've got the adapter plate to run a carb in with all of this.

Two of my friends run the 2300 in their Outlaw Modifieds (outlawmodified.com). They normally run at Desoto but run Auburndale every so often. Their engine builder is in Sarasota and is the brother of one of my friends. He used to be the tech guy at East Bay Raceway and knows how to build a very good class legal engine. If you are interested in sourcing a class legal race motor let me know and I will get you in contact.
I actually think we have a 2000 motor in the shed. It may be too modified for your class though.
