Please tell me this is for a vehicle project and not a DIY hip replacement. Because that would totally void the warranty.

Maybe try a crematorium for a used one?

When I have my knee replaced, I can ask for the old parts back and you can use that.

I remember a bit of a fracas about 15 years ago when they started popping up on ebay. IIRC the manufacturers were trying to arrest folks selling them stating until they were installed they were the property of the manufacturer or other such crap.

My pop found a case of hip replacement samples in a rental unit he was cleaning out and wanted to sell them but decided against it. I wonder what became of them?

A diy hip replacement woulg be soooo grassroots, especially if you built your own parts

If you decide to do a DIY hip replacement make sure you do a build thread.

Ehhh... I think there should be a step before that that includes a modicum of booze and at least a local.

In my experience with builds, that step comes about 30 minutes in when you get frustrated and/or lose motivation.
