ok... your serious... do you need a hip?
Please tell me this is for a vehicle project and not a DIY hip replacement. Because that would totally void the warranty.
Maybe try a crematorium for a used one?

Dammit. I should have known you lot would have caught on quickly.
I remember a bit of a fracas about 15 years ago when they started popping up on ebay. IIRC the manufacturers were trying to arrest folks selling them stating until they were installed they were the property of the manufacturer or other such crap.
My pop found a case of hip replacement samples in a rental unit he was cleaning out and wanted to sell them but decided against it. I wonder what became of them?

Ben, if you find a reliable source, I want in on this. I wouldn't poach if we were in the same state.
Thanks Keith! I'm going to lowball an offer on that. There's nobody even watching that auction.

Ehhh... I think there should be a step before that that includes a modicum of booze and at least a local.

In my experience with builds, that step comes about 30 minutes in when you get frustrated and/or lose motivation.
Going back 20+ years ago I balanced 4 high speed Lathes that machined the ball on the of the joint. Two were for roughing out the casting the other two were for final finish machining. Company was in Sturbridge mass, but name is lost in my memory now...
