I have a 90 miata DD with a failing 1.6. Im looking for any simple drop in 1.6 or 1.8 as close to York Pa 17406 as can be Im willing to pick up.

I have one in Ashland, OH. Not too close but you may be able to find someone going your way to give it a ride.
