I am looking to buy a motorcycle. What do you have for sale? I have a few guide lines but i am flexible i guess:
Im kinda open to ideas but leaning toward sportbikes.
Challenge budget obviously which is also my budget give or take. Convenience at its finest.
Thanks all

Well I may soon have one for sale that meets at least 2 of your criteria (in Ohio and under 750cc)

Missing the forks and handlebars, I'll know more about the condition when I go take a look at it in an hour.

Here's a link to my old FS thread, I put both away for the winter thinking nobody's buying sportbikes and convertibles in November in Ohio:

Well I checked it out today and I'm not goin for it. not quite as described
I have a friend with a 600 Ninja that he's done some sort of post-apocalyptic bobber treatment on that's located in Indiana. He mentioned something the other day about needing to do some carb work to it & get it running so he could sell it. I can get details if you're interested.

I wouldn't do that, but it sounds like the 550 is off the table.
Dan
well as much as it sucks that the 550 deal fell through, im still gonna go ahead and thank you 914Driver for your generosity and overall coolness. Thanks
Have you had much experience with bikes, if you haven't had your license long I would shy away from the 600 rockets. Even the older ones can be very finnicky when pushed to the limit.
For a sporty first bike I'd look at Kawasaki Ninja 500s, Suzuki GS500e, and the Yamaha Seca II. All will offer a good amout of reliable performance and you can easily sell them for what you paid for it in a year or two.
Now if you have plenty of sportbike experience ignore my above post

Well I do have a motorcycle for sale under 750cc, and it is a sport bike of sorts. 1978 Honda Hawk 400cc cafe' racer. Under 16K original miles, and runs great. Needs a new fuel petcock and battery, both of which will be done before the sale. Tires look good but are pretty weather checked, ok for around town, but I wouldn't go cross-country! Still have all original parts (seat, handlebars) and nothing has been cut. $750 ? Couple of pics in my profile garage.

Funny how I like cars / bikes now that I wouldn't have been seen in / on 25yrs ago! Is "nostalgia" Greek for "senility" ?
Hawk is cool but i was looking for newer stuff..
BUMP?
This checks all of your boxes.
