NMNA, ?? is because at least from Wiki the first year these were made was 1959 and not 49.

1949 Austin Mini Car

Is it wrong that I kind of want it? Even though it looks like it has no glass, and pretty much certainly doesn't run (if it even has an engine/transmission)?

I'm surprised that is not sold yet. Would make an awesome challenge car.

Or diy binky.

If I didn't already have one essentially undrivable car sitting in the back yard at the moment I'd be very tempted to grab it myself and find a way to stuff the L67 sitting in my garage into it- but SWMBO would be far from pleased with me about having two cars that can't be driven sitting in the back yard.

Yes, the Mini started in 1959. It's definitely a pre '67 model because it still has the sliding windows instead of roll up windows. If it wasn't 1000 miles away, I'd be tempted. However, looks like the glass hasn't been in it in a very long time. The moldy seats indicate that the floors are probably gone. Not insurmountable to fix, but probably a huge project.
If it WAS a '59 or '60, it's a rare beast because most of them have returned to the earth by now.
The magic wand shifter is still there, so the transmission might still be in it meaning the engine might be there, too.

I'll be surprised if it doesn't disappear quickly.

I'm just going to pretend like I didn't see it instead of trying to figure out how to drag it back to Texas......

Would like to have it, but I'm way too busy already.

The value in that car is in the VIN, assuming it still has one. Not much else there. I wouldn't pay $500 for it.

In a couple of the pics you can see ground through the sills of the car. Digital photos are notoriously forgiving of rust and such; that car is seriously rotted.

Put it in the front yard?

I didn't get a chance to really zoom in on those photos until now. You're right, there's not much left of the bottom of that car.......

Definitely an early Mini. I would be interested if I had fabrication skills to make a tube frame chassis to put the shell on (sigh)
