So I have some life stuff happening and I’ve got bills I need to get paid, so the Jeeps gotta go. Here’s what I can tell you:
1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport.
4.0L Inline 6
Automatic
4x4
196,968 Miles
$900 but I may make a deal for a GRMer.
The Good:
Runs- This will start right up and runs like a top.
Drives - Put it in gear and it goes, no slipping.
Stops - Rear brake lines and wheel cylinders replaced in 2016, stops well.
Water Pump was replaced in 2016.
4WD Works Great.
Power windows and door locks all work.
The Bad:
Needs a heater blower motor and the fuse replaced. It made some god awful noise one night and locked up which prompted blowing the fuse. Heat works otherwise.
Valve Cover Gasket needs replaced
Needs sway front sway bar end links.
Needs a battery. The one in it is over 10 years old and it doesn’t hold much of a charge anymore. I need to jump it, but it starts right up and the alternator is working fine.
Needs a muffler, doesn’t have one.
Has a crack in the exhaust manifold, but that’s fairly common.
Front U-Joints need replacement. They click when in 4WD.
Needs tires. Ones on it have good tread, but are close to 15 years old.
Has an aftermarket sunroof BUT it has never leaked.
Headliner has fallen down.
A/C doesn’t work, BUT all that needs to happen is the schrader valve in the High Pressure connection needs to be replaced and it should hold refrigerant.
Rear doors open from inside, but the door handles from the outside won’t open them. Has been like that since I bought it, but I never really had anyone who needed to ride in the back seats, so I just never fixed it.
The Ugly:
Rust - Passenger side floor has rusted out. Wife put her foot through it a couple years ago. Driver side rocker panel has a hole and the passenger side will probably have one in due time.
Other than that, it’s been a good little trucklette. If you have any questions, just ask. Also, for $50 more, I have a set of clean factory 15” Steelies for this.
