Up for sale is my '99 OBS in that classic two-tone green. I bought a truck to handle my winter needs, and this car deserves someone who will love it, I get genuinely sad just seeing it sit in my driveway. Lemme break this down for you:
The Good!: EJ223 engine runs like a top, 5 speed is in good condition, one weird spot of surface rust on the A-pillar but otherwise rust free. This was a desert car for its entire life until I brought it to MI, and it's mostly sat for the last year. I got a new hood for it because the old one was oxidized something fierce, and it was basically free! Also have a GD wagon rear sway bar I'll throw in with the purchase, they apparently clean up the understeer quite well.
The Bad! Needs an o2 sensor (but the gas mileage is excellent), needs struts, wheels are 15" RS-style in varying states of painted/unpainted/crudely stripped, tires suck, and last year some shiny happy person backed into it and drove off, destroying the driver's side door. I have a new door, but with a new house and work being crazy, I never got it put on there. Will obviously include said door in price (and it's from the exact same year, same paint, everything).
The Ugly? See for yourself...actually, with a clean door she'd be beautiful again.
$1200 OBO, would trade for a Volvo 24x or some other silly project. Clean title, and door notwithstanding you could just drive this damn thing home. I have taken it across the US a few times and I'd do it again tomorrow if I needed!
