OK.. so sell a transmission and buy a seat.
Seems like it could be a good deal, if you fit. The cockpit looks pretty tight, since these weren't spacious in the first place and the cage design eats up a lot of room. I'm pretty sure I could get IN the car, but not sure I could get OUT!

Interesting thoughts. I had a friend with an X 1/9 rally car. The window openings were small and in a roll over it was tough to extract the co driver.

They're a lot bigger inside than they look. I had an ITA car that I built and several tall drivers sat in it without an issue. I think I remember the guy that bought it being around 6' and no issues. Compared to a Miata they're huge inside.
Of course seeing it not painted where all the sound deadening used to be gives me chills. I spent several weeks with a torch and putty knife getting rid of it all. Some came out with dry ice, but not a lot.
