Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but... "11 to 1 pistons" wouldn't be the typical way to build a truck motor, right?
Well, that looks like a 77 to me. And who knows what U-Haul did 40 years ago? (Although I bet those clutches led a short, horrible life.)
The uhaul trucks of that era were usually fords.m and yes they did rent sticks. I remember riding in one a long time ago.

No, not really, though who knows if you actually get 11:1 with heads from the late 70s.
I helped a friend move in 87 and the uhaul had a mt. It also had lights that would go off and on over bumps. Such a joy. Pos
U-haul still rented stick trucks a few years ago. I remember because my cousin was moving from Bellemeade to Old Hickory and didn't want to do a ton of trips so he rented the biggest truck U-Haul had, which in and of itself was a huge hassle because it had to come from another site and they had to pay the full shot when they reserved it. And then when it arrived, it was a stick, and neither my cousin nor his wife could drive stick. They ended up convincing U-haul to lend them an employee for the day to drive it
