Speedway Indiana craigslist

Start of something really nasty for sub challenge money. I am selling a 99 Impreza RS that I purchased from a friend of mine. He started the build, lost interest, and decided to sell everything off. I bought it as a project, but haven't had the time to go anywhere with it.

It has most of a chrome-moly SFI 25.2 tube frame underneath it, which will make it certifiable to 6.00 in the 1/4. There is easily $5,000+ in labor and tubing on the frame alone. Also included/installed are JDM lightweight front and rear bumper beams. The rear windshield has been removed to facilitate fabrication of the frame/cage, and will be included with the sale. The exterior was re-painted Diamond Black Pearl. The car comes with black headlights, black corner lights, the factory fogs, and tail lights. The fogs and tails were sprayed with VHT Nightshades. Also included are the main dash, door panels, headliner, and any other parts I have for it.

The work was done through MR2 Performance in Lebanon, IN. Mike Roth is well known for his cage/frame work. He has won several "Best Engineered" Wally's at US Nationals, and a few others through out the country. His work has also been featured in several magazine spreads. The work on the chassis/frame is legit, and top notch. If interested, I'm sure he would be more than willing to finish it and could give a pretty good idea of how much time/labor is left.

The front of the car will still accept a stock Subaru subframe, which means you can still run a Subaru engine and all of the factory front suspension. The rear is set up for a 4-link and whichever rear axle and diff you would like to put in the car.

Mike was recently awarded another "Best Engineered" Wally for his work on a world-record-setting S2000 in the Super Stock class. The man knows what he is doing.

Below, are pictures I copied from the build thread. They show better detail than I can get while the car is in my trailer. I was able to get a couple decent pictures, and they are towards the bottom. I would be more than happy to get additional pictures, if requested.

The car is located in Indianapolis, IN. It is the buyer's responsibility to pick up and secure transport for the car. However, I am willing to transport the car a reasonable distance, if needed. Charges for this will be discussed at the time of sale.

My Original asking price was $4,000, but I have now reduced it significantly to $1700 as I have moved and absolutely need it gone. The only trades I will consider are for things which are 2A related.

The fine print: Serious inquiries only, please. Slicks, skinnies, wheels, rear end, suspension, brakes, etc are for display purposes only. They are already sold which means they are NOT available and are NOT included in this sale. All sales are final and no refunds, returns, or exchanges will be granted. All items are sold as-is with no guarantees or warranties, expressed or implied. All items have been described and listed to the best knowledge of the Seller. Please do your due diligence and research before committing to a transaction. Buyer assumes all risk, responsibility, and/or liability for any, and all, items purchased. Pick-up is preferred, but shipping may be arranged at Buyer's expense. This is a cash only sale. Feel free to ask any questions, and please do not waste my time.

Sell the rear end and put an IRS in that. Then sell the trans and put a manual trans in it.

I always loved that body style

In reply to dean1484:

There isn't any transmission or rear end to sell. It's just a body shell and partial cage.

Wow, drag racers really will put a powerglide behind anything.

If you are running 1/8 mile it makes sense. Not so much everywhere else. But that was just for fitment, for the looks of it. The whole project seems to be fairly ill-conceived.

That pile of parts has been listed for months. You don't actually get much for the price. Just looks good in the pics, but all that stuff is NOT included.

Fine print at bottom: "Slicks, skinnies, wheels, rear end, suspension, brakes, etc are for display purposes only. They are already sold which means they are NOT available and are NOT included in this sale"

You get a body shell and incomplete cage/tube frame.
