The recent roadkill episode featured one of these:
They want $1600 because that's "what they paid for it". Except it ran when they bought it and now it's dead. Sorry, that drops the value just a bit
Everything works except for locks, odometer, and well... the engine.
Umm... in that car what else IS there to not work?
Rust free is good, but critical engine parts like cranks are non-existent. I know, because I race one, and have hoarded such parts for years. There are a myriad of engine swaps out there, but no bolt in ones. All require significant fabrication. I'd buy it for the tranny at 1/4 the price, but I already have six of them. It is kind of laughable that he wants what he has in it, but where it is in worse shape than he got it. Soon to be a hard lesson learned in old car economics. I may check it out a month from now when I go to visit my brother in KY.
