Wiki says the rear suspension is based on the XJ40.

That rear looks pretty torn up. I don't know if that's coming back for cheap without some welding and/or frame machine time. Still seems worth it!!

Maybe not a Supercharged version but I feel pretty confident that a XK8 could be done for The Challenge.
That's gotta have plenty of recoup in it to pull it off. You should be able to source another jag with enough rear end parts for almost free after you buy, take the parts, and sell the rest.
Dam. Can't beat the value of a cheap jag.

Sounds like it needs a cheap 4link and a junkyard Ford 9" rearend. And a sawzall. And a welder.
That's a pretty hot looking car, in nice condition that is. Maybe I don't know the market for these, but it seems overpriced to me.
It blows my mind that they can be had for that kind on money. Heck, I'd never think to look at a NA for under 2k.
