If I had room (and time) for this, I would be posting the build thread already.

Craigslist Dude said: 1990 Thunderbird Super Coupe. 12X,XXX miles. Manual 5-speed with a brand new rebuild along with a Spec stage II clutch and light weight aluminum fly wheel. Car has not been started in 5 years due to needing a new alternator. The car does need a new paint job and numerous other cosmetic fixes. It has the original head gaskets which is impressive for this car. The supercharger was also rebuilt before it was stopped being used and an under-drive pulley was installed. There is an extra set of Super Coupe tires and wheels to go along with it. An extra rear bumper is included which is a hard part to find The car also has aluminum under-drive pulley's and a new BHJ harmonic balancer. There are numerous extra miscellaneous parts included that are hard to find for the Super Coupe enthusiast. Feel free to contact me with additional questions.

A little weird that a bad alternator would deter this guy from fixing it after doing all that work, but whatever, it's dirt cheap!

Driveline donor for MX-5 swap? Price seems decent and some parts to sell for some recoup.

I would honestly just fix the thing and daily drive it! I haven't been in a MN12 car in a while, but from what I remember, they were comfortable cars to cruise around in.

A former SWMBO had one for several years while we were dating, and the rear seat was surprisingly roomy for a coupe. Jokes aside, it was a comfy, fun car, that provided plenty of hilarity in the rain/snow/gravel/night before you were going to get new tires. The fact that it bore something of a sporting pretense in the chassis setup was a big plus.

I also had a late 80s cougar...similar story as above. The big V6 (3.8l?) was a ton of fun with the plush, floaty suspension.

I kinda always wanted to fart around with some Mustang goodies under the hood/at the corners, which, from what I understand, fit quite nicely in a T-bird/Cougar.

Damn! I'd spend that much in gas hauling that thing back down here. That's gotta be the cheapest way to get a supercharger in your life ever.

With a little paint and imagination, you could do a knockout sub $1k Challenger.

I've always liked those cars. I agree that some Fox body parts would make that car even more funner!

Mn12 cars were not foxes, unfortunately. As far as I know, the fox era cougar/t-bird ended in '88. Still, much want. No money. Heavy sad.

my fil used to tease us when we brought his back that he could see heel marks in the ceiling. (yeah he's a bit weird).

we did return it with boob marks in the dust in the hood once though... :P :D

I almost went and looked at it but the owner informed me it had been sitting for 10 years or so and was more than likely rotted pretty heavily underneath.
