A friend left her caliber with me a couple years ago and is unable to get the title for it. She gave me the ok to unload it as I wasn't able to sell it as a street car due to the title not being available. If anyone needs a last minute challenge car or lemon car this could be a good starting point.

It's automatic started up last time I tried and was a daily driver until she moved to Arizona. The car is in Jacksonville FL about 1.5 hours from gainesville. I can probably tow to the challenge as I can't run my car this year.

Open to ANY offer.

Would rather take a solid blow to the balls from a 2x4 tbh.

Good luck sir, you have a task ahead of you!

Park it in front of a fire hydrant,

Then have someone call the PD to report it.

Do I hear a 2x4 as the best trade offer sans blow to the nuts?

Usually I love buying stuff with no title, but TBH I'm not getting a great vibe here. Any idea if there are liens on it?

Can you expand upon the whole "unable to get the title for it" thing?

It was under her and her ex's name when they broke up the agreement was that she got the car. She had it for a couple more years then moved and asked me to sell it.

When I went to the DMV to get the title to sell it they said it was not under her name and couldn't give me the name it is under. Given its a dodge caliber and she is not on good talking terms with the ex (and now lives in AZ) it's not worth hunting down the title to sell for $2 grand. Happy to send whatever info you need to do a check on the vin etc.

To my knowledge no liens. Literally willing to trade it for a 12 pack as I can't store it much longer.

If you are certain there are no liens on it, get an application for a duplicate title and sign the ex's name and give an address where the new title can be received.

Ex husband still owns it, park it in the ghetto with the keys in it.

Run like the wind, you sound like a nice guy but if he reports it stolen it's feet back and spread 'em.

Pretty sure there is enough evidence that I won't have issues but not sure how to get legal ownership and her ex (girlfriend) hasn't replied to emails.

That is always the backup plan just leave it somewhere or make it disappear.

Figure that someone might be able to use it as a race car or something fun instead of just ditching it. Or someone might be able to get a title in some way I don't know.

I appreciate the advice thanks.

It is the cvt

Best offer I have is $75

The place it is parked at I am selling so I need to get rid of it. Honestly I will give it to someone if they build it into a challenge car.

If there is a court document that says the car is hers, that and her signature should produce a title in only her name, then she signs it over to you. It shouldn't be that hard, otherwise, walmart!

This should be easier: contact the ex, tell him this piece of junk car needs to move today or it's getting towed. When he balks you call his bluff and remind him it's his name on the title and he will have to pay the massive tow bill and storage fees. If he wants it come get it. If he doesn't want it, he can sign the title over to you.
