All,

This was a project that had to be aborted a couple of years ago when I purchased a 1972 Datsun 510. It has been taking up valuable space in my garage for far too long now and I need help getting rid of it. It is my hope that someone here will be crazy enough to make something cool out of this stuff, or just get it for the parts and raw steel, whatever you need.

All Miata parts are from a 1996 doner car. This sale includes:

Chassis jig (8'-5 3/4" x 4'-11"). It has leveling feet and it is set for a 95-3/4" wheelbase using bolt on plates to hold the axles in place. The wheelbase could be made shorter by drilling new holes for the plates but there is not really enough room to make it longer as it sits. The jig was designed for the chassis to be 3" above the ground at ride height with the Miata subframes at 5" above the ground so the suspension geometry stays happy while the chassis is low. Basically the bottom of the jig would be the road surface.

Miata front suspension on square tube frame. All suspension points are in the same location as the stock Mazda subframe. Miata steering rack is mounted. The upper control arm mounts are bolted on to the subframe with shims so camber can be adjusted. The tube for the pivot bolt can be cut and shimmed for caster adjustment. The stock control arms were cut to allow for Penske style coilovers (not included) so they would need to be reinforced or replaced. There are no engine mounts or upper shock mounts. Stock shocks and springs are included.

Miata rear subframe (unmodified) with stock open diff and axles. The subframe is already mounted to a chassis structure and is bolted on using the factory pick up points. The lower brace is now a bolt on section of the chassis structure so the subframe is boxed in but can still be removed. Stock shocks and springs are included but there are no upper mounts for them.

Stock 5 speed with around 180xxx miles on it. It shifted fine when I had it in my Datsun but I thought it was making too much noise so I replaced it with another used 5 speed that made the exact same noise so I knew I just wasted a bunch of money at that point. But anyway, this transmission is included in the sale.

The power plant frame (PPF) that connects the transmission to the diff. The chassis was not originally designed to use the PPF but could be modified for its use if so desired. Bonus if you use the PPF and Miata drive train with the extended wheelbase, the engine should be several inches behind the front axle!

Miata steering column. This has been stripped bare so no key switch or blinker/wiper stalks.

A couple of boxes of miscellaneous Miata parts including the pedal assemblies, brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, power steering pump, a/c compressor, Grant steering wheel and various other bits and bobs.

I think that's all the stuff.

I would like to get $500.00 for everything but I will take the best offer from someone who is serious and can pick it up.

All of this is located in SE Orlando, Florida (Vista Lakes area near OIA)

I can be called or texted between 9am and 9pm at (4 oh 7) six nine 4 - seventy eight thirty

Let me know if you have any questions or want to see any detailed pictures.

I am a motivated seller so don't be shy.

Thanks for looking!

What does the 510 look like? Blue 4 door with BRE flares?
