Wish it were closer, would buy it to rebuild the engine for the DMC and put something else in it for a Challenge car...

That's would be what I have handy. I don't know about getting it to fit given how low and back I believe the Renesis is mounted...

Everyone but john brown ls swaps them so the l67 should fit rather easily

An LS is WAY easier to put in than the L67 given the throttle body on the L67 is on what would be the back of the engine in a longitudinal configuration... it's only seen longitudinal mounting in a Holden that I know of, and they had a custom setup to allow it and there was plenty of room before it would hit the firewall. It's also why I think it will work on the DMC, there should be plenty of room 'behind' the engine. If the Renesis is stuffed in as tightly as I imagine, I doubt there'd be room for the throttle body on the RX-8.
