It’s about as crappy as you’d expect, but clearly somebody needs to bring a “Red Pig” to the challenge.

A guy I worked with years ago had one of these. A remarkably fast 6000 pound car with a remarkable thirst for gasoline.
Apparently this one has a little rust...
If anyone is seriously thinking about this, pm me. My late father owned one, and I did all the maintenance and repairs on it, as I had experience in a Mercedes service department. Definitely a money pit, but the engine performance is awe inspiring. At this price, you better be capable of welding and sheet metal fabricating. First thing that needs to go is the air suspension.

Because if you pull off all the stuff you don't need for a challenge car, you have a minimum of about $3000 of impossible to find parts to sell on the 6.3 forums.

And a car that weighs 5200 pounds...

The 6.3 is HUGE. Getting in the 108 chassis nearly took an act of God. It was the first car that when I looked under the hood at the engine, everything appeared to be a homogenous mass; there were no direct views to the ground under the engine. And there was absolutely no space left anywhere. I have no idea how you changed the spark plugs. I can't imagine how you would shoehorn that into the 107 chassis. Besides, you'd be money ahead with ... wait for it ... an LS swap.
