Triumph Stag Always liked the styling of the Stag. Heck get it running and driving and sell it to some Brit for repatriation.

Agreed. I actually like the Stags. I would love to have one with a decent engine. I mean like not anything Triumph.

I once helped a friend/mechanic pull a Ford engine out of Stag that needed a rebuild. The dirt bag that installed it notched the frame so the oil filter would clear. It just couldn't ever be changed. Now you see why it needed the rebuild. I guess a remote filter was just too much trouble.

I had a great one with the Triumph engine and the 4 speed with overdrive. Was rust free and a really great car. The Triumph engine was generally crap, but the one I had was a good one, had a stainless exhaust and it sounded just amazing..... I had it painted bright red just like the one in the photo above. They are nice cars when sorted, but expensive to fix or return to original. Too many have bad engine swaps, this one in Virginia could be a good one as it looks solid and the TR8 drivetrain would be fine if you change the front springs out. There were many bad engine swaps done on these cars.
