This is an interesting thing.

Raise your vehicle 3 Ft off of the ground without any electricity or hydraulics. Simply drive up on to the lift slowly until you get just past the balance point. The vehicle weight will cause the front end to drop and the back end to raise. 4 heavy duty truck shocks dampen the travel (slow it down) so it isn't a violent fall. When you are done inspecting or working on your vehicle simply back up slightly until the lift tips back. then slowly drive off of the lift. I built it 20 years ago from plans that I found in a old Popular Mechanics magazine. I kept my old 1957 Chevrolet stored inside my shop on top of the lift. It was great for working on the car. I sold the old car and don't have any need for the lift anymore. I moved it outside of my shop to make room for my wife's tropical plant collection this winter. I spent over $400 in material when I built the lift 20 years ago. It is in perfect condition. Call 2 2 8 6 9 7 1 9 5 7 for more information. PS.....YOU HAUL IT ! It will come apart with the removal of 8 bolts to make it easier to move. No texts or emails please.

Do you know how far up on that you would have to drive to tilt that with a miata. laugh Pretty cool!

Edit: just looked at the ad, and realized I lived down the road from that guy 30 years ago.  Good ole' diaperville. Used to be some decent fishing in the back bay there. I know we would limit out on shrimp every time we went out with the cast nets.
