So many cars with no title. Go to the damn DMV and get a replacement, FFS! It only costs a few bucks. I'd buy that in a heartbeat, if it had a title (and it was closer). I love those things.
Looks like the biggest problem is that the brake fluid is in the trunk that..that won't open. Wait it's an suv just crawl over the seat.
So a battery, some brake fluid and you are on your way.
If you really wanted the thing and the seller really was the legal owner, couldn't you kick in $100 and make the guy go to DMV for a duplicate Title?
Nope. I'm pretty sure every car and light truck (maybe not some 3/4 and 1 ton trucks) has been injected since like '91-'92.

You can give him the money and hope, but it's remarkable the number that absolutely refuse to get you the title on a non-stolen car.
Kia sportage...that vintage, there's a reason there's no title. That poor thing is likely half a step from repo onto its old bhph lot.
In reply to psteav:
I think the last was that Isuzu pickup sold before the hombre s10 copy. I am pretty sure that was it and around 92-93.
even with all the issues, if it truly is a manual transmission, that's an FE + manual donor for real cheap. Those mazda FE motors are said to take serious boosties.
And the $2017 truck class.... just saying.

Assuming you have no problems with a potentially stolen car.....you're absolutely right.

meh. Go to the DMV in oregon and run your own vin check for like $2 or whatever. They'll tell you who the real owner is.
You'll need to log in to post.
