That seems very cheap. wonder why it won't run. seems like plenty of money to be made parting it out.
Good grief. That thing had like a $70k list price, has 101k miles on it, doesn't run, and is worth $1000. How could you love BMWs with numbers like that.

by buying the ones in the $1-2k range and driving the wheels off of them..
Probably hg
There is the exact same car with a bad motor and trans sitting at the shop next to my office that they can not give away. I keep looking at it and pondering a vortec swap of some sort.
I just found this locally while looking at 745s.
Dang it I have always thought the cls was one of the best looking Mercedes of the 2000s
Back when I had a Porsche 928, guys on the forums used to say something like "There are no cheap Porsches." I'm thinking that adage could be applied to E65s and other high end imports as well.
That's a lot of car for a grand but (going WAY out on a limb here) I think it would be far less painful to punch yourself vigorously in the groin. Repeatedly.

There is a reason......I lasted as a BMW service advisor for about a year after they came out. Worst. BMW. Ever.
And much less profitable to part out than you would think. Control modules; once programmed to the vehicle; will only work on that car. Making the interior and body parts the only sellable (profitable) items-and for every 745 in good condition there is one either being parted out or hiding in the garage from the BHPH repo man.
Man I HATE those cars....
I was wondering if you could come up with a viable lsx or vortec swap for one of those. The canbus would probably be the issue.
