1989 Chevy 3/4 ton R20 crew cab pickup with 454/TH700. Runs great, starts right up, no smoke. 93k on odometer, unknown if real. Resides at my inlaw's farm near Wilmington, IL. I bought it for them in 2012 in Indianapolis, put in new brakes and radiator, and drove it 200 miles to Wilmington where it has accumulated only 20-50 miles a year. Could be cleaned up for tow vehicle, or could great donor for a hot rod or GRM challenge. Runs and shifts well enough that I wouldn't even bother rebuilding either the engine or transmission. Tires new in 2012 with only about 500 miles, no dry rot. Usual Chevy rocker panel rust, but frame solid. Dual gas tanks, tow mirrors, HD hitch. Has slow battery drain, so I have to unhook the negative cable if it sits more than a week. I was going to put it on CL for $1500 once I replaced the passenger front brake hose, but here for $1000 firm GRM price before it gets fixed. Call or text thre I seven, 4 for six 74oh for, of email mfrost4802 at gmaildotcom I'll be here until 7/4 afternoon, or can drive up from Indianapolis. Clean title. Thanks, guys! Marc

Any idea what the fuel mileage was on your trip from Indy to Chicago? Is all it needs for a road-trip is the brake hose replaced?

MPG on two lane highways was about 13 mpg at 60mph. Brake hose is all that is needed to be road able. I have the new hose, just the fitting to it is stuck, so I need to bring my special brake fitting vise grip. If that fails, I need to cut and splice in a new fitting. Problem is, my brake flaring tool set is back in Indy.

Biloxi would be a long road trip with no AC this time of year

Actually, has AC that worked fine when I drove it to Chicago in 2012 (I recharged then with R134), but I have not recharged it since.
