"For those of you that don't know, this Echo Hatchback was never sold in the US. If you wanted one, you had to get it imported from either Europe or Canada at a much higher premium. I've done all that work which makes it a rare legal car for the US roads."

It sort of begs for the Castrol corolla treatment, doesn't it?
Not a bad value with extras, without it's just an echo with a lot of miles on it. I do like the hatch part of it. Are these a four or five seater?
Pictures in the ad show it as a four seater
Canadian car maybe? Its priced equally to other echos I've seen for sale.
In reply to Nitroracer:
That's what I would guess. The value is in the uniqueness.
Do they use salt in Canada?
Looks like a Yaris to me.
In reply to HappyAndy:
Except it's about 2,100lb. Now swap in the Yaris engine (or the twin cam matrix lump) and you'd really have something.

Salt in Canada- in the East yes - tons of it!!!
Many Western provinces don't use it.

Are those a bolt in swap?
In reply to paranoid_android74:
Unfortunately not.
In reply to captdownshift:
Isn't the engine in the Yaris the same 1500 cc as the Echo? 1NZ-FE, I think. The Matrix engine is certainly a different motor.
The echo is the 1NZ-FE, dame as the 1st Gen Xb and Xa, not sure on the yaris. They have 3 motor mounts, the matrix 22ze uses 4 mounts. The swap has been done a few times, but isn't bolt up.
