That is pretty cool. I am not sure 2k cool though.

Eh, might be worth 2k actually. It's a bit of a stretch given the condition of the body, but the turbo parts alone almost make up the value. And who doesn't like an e28?

If you are an e28 hater you could always just swap the turbo into an e30.

If it was a turbo m30 e28, then I'd be all over it.

That turbo is stupid on that engine. It's too big and probably won't spool. Maybe if they put an "i" head (and cam, and valve springs) on it, it would work a little better, but the 2.7e motor is borderline diesel lazy. There's no mention of what's controlling the fueling, which makes me think it's stock, maybe with an RRFPR. This thing is a hot mess, there's a reason the ask is 2k.

I'd jump on that and fix the damn thing with parts I have lying around (which is a lot of E28 stuff) if it weren't so far away.

Yup. I think it's worth 2k. Definitely would need to swap on an "i" head though. This drops the compression of the m20b27 to, I think 7.8:1 or so with a much more revvier power band.
