Rough, but low miles and manual!
Also here's This nice clean looking one.
That's funny, I want to take my rwd tranny that bolts to a Zetec and make one stock looking and RWD. But with a Zetec, obviously.

For some reason I really like the look of that white escort. What are they like to drive?

Driving them is fine, but just at the point when all 4 wheels leave the ground is when they get really fun.

I've actually never driven a 3rd gen. Escort but I'm assuming it's no different from the 2nd gen. cars. I'm pretty sure they just have different front end styling, interior, and an engine with a tiny bit more power. I had a 94 wagon for a while and miss it sometimes. They're not bad to toss around. I always thought it felt like a cheap car that wanted to be a rally car when it grew up. It was almost unstoppable in snow too. I do wish they had a better engine option for the sedans and wagons though. The SOHC they put in all those in pretty underwhelming.
Saturn had the right idea, making a DOHC available in all the body styles.

It's been almost 8 years since I drove one but...peppy enough, light, tossable, pretty fun on the back roads. This was a '95 wagon with the 85 horsepower or whatever and a 5 speed.
