Part of the carnage to the trans/exhaust tunnel that was needed to get the tranny to fit in there..not pretty ....but effective

When I was a tech, we always said "bang to fit, paint to match". you gotta do what you gotta do.

Got the steering shafts mocked up, just need to add a support bearing as it comes out of the firewall in the engine compartment.

Its amazing how much time it takes to fabricate even the smallest of parts... this is for the shifter linkage/cable..

Another view of the shifter cable bracket...the wood/allthread in the back ground is what I mocked up to mimic the cable..a 3 dimensional template of sorts

What ever happened with this project? I see the last post was in 2017! Was it completed, abandon, ECT...... I'm curious as we are gonna start a 2000 Sebring JXI Convertable LS swap. Thinking of using 300 front suspension, 5.3l LS with 6 speed transmission, S-10 rear axle and cut and rebuild the tunnel so there is optimal room. Lambo door kit.Gonna do a possible twin turbo setup too. Just wanted to see how this one came out.
